With our new stadium we have had to make a number of adjustments to how all of us operate on Friday nights. Those adjustments have largely dealt with games in our stadium. However, it became apparent with our last away game against Revere that there is an issue that needs to be addressed in how our band members and football players are picked up at the school/stadium by their parents.
Starting this Friday (October 4th) and going forward, I ask that parents that are picking their child up at the high school after an away football game adhere to following protocol:
- Do not park along any part of the access drive, in the Field House bus cut-out, or along the edge of the cafeteria workers’ lot. Only park in actual parking spaces.
- Band members will be picked up in the Teacher Lot.
- Football players will be picked up in the Student Lot.
Following this protocol will allow our buses the ability to drop-off our band and football team in the appropriate areas designated for them to do so. It will also eliminate the unnecessary traffic around an area where we have a lot of our young adults unloading buses and walking. Failure to follow this protocol could result in an accident that none of us want to occur.
