Blue Devils News · Spring Senior Spotlight – Ariyanah Waino

Tallmadge Athletics will be running a Senior Spotlight series on our spring senior athletes to honor their dedication and commitment to Tallmadge High School and its athletic programs. Today, we recognize Ariyanah Waino who is a member of our track team!

1.) Track & Field Events:  Hurdles, Sprints, Long jump

2.) Favorite subject in school:  Math

3.) Person that has had the biggest impact on me:  My mom, she’s always been the one to push me and never let me give up.

4.) Favorite restaurant:  Texas Roadhouse or Olive Garden.

5.) If I could have lunch with one person it would be:  My grandpa Dave because I’d love to catch up with him and tell him how good we’re doing.

6.) Favorite musician:  Brantley Gilbert

7.) Quote to live by:  “Whatever you want to do, do it. There are only so many tomorrows.”

8.) Advice I have for underclassmen:  Please, please take your high school experience in. In the blink of an eye it can be taken from you. That is the moment you realize how much you’ll miss high school.

9.) Best high school memory competing in track & field:  Growing bonds with my teammates and coaches, and them turning into family. Also, competing in the sport I love the most and setting new personal records.

10.) My plans after high school:  Become a police officer. I would love to become a K-9 officer but it would be a privilege just to become an officer.

Thank you Ariyanah for the time and energy that you devote as a student-athlete to Tallmadge High School and its great community!  Your involvement is one of the many factors that make Tallmadge something great to be a part of!
